PS3 - "HDMI cable not included", Delayed In Europe, & Shipments Cut In Half
So, back from vacation and to no surprise more PS3 failings. From the updated specs sheet on the US Playstation 3 site that states the following;
"HDMI cable not included. Additional equipment may be required to use the HDMI connector."
They should just yank HDMI out of the PS3 along with Blu-ray. How many games are going to support 1080p at launch? I thought so.
Then I find out that the release of the Playstation 3 in PAL territories has been pushed back until March 2007. This isn’t surprising considering all the rumors that have been going around about shortages of diodes for the Blu-ray player.
Finally, Sony announced they will only be shipping two million PS3's to the US & Japan by the end of 2006. Just last month Sony was saying they would indeed reach four million by the end of the year. According to Ken Kutaragi, only 400,000 consoles will be available at day one in the US, with around 100,000 units for the Japanese launch.
Figures.
